Tattoo
Preparation

While the tattoo process and the subsequent aftercare are very important, there are also recommended steps to follow before getting your tattoo to ensure better healing and make the process easier. You can access these recommended steps here.

Stay hydrated

Drinking water and keeping your skin hydrated are very important for your skin's health and can make the tattooing process easier, positively affecting your experience.
Make sure to drink plenty of water in the week leading up to your appointment. Well-hydrated skin is more resilient and absorbs ink better, leading to a more vibrant and lasting tattoo. This helps you take the first steps toward a tattoo that looks great for many years.

Eat well

Eating a nutritious meal before your session is crucial for keeping your energy levels stable. Low blood sugar can cause dizziness or fainting during the tattooing process. Additionally, getting a tattoo on an empty stomach can make the pain feel more intense. Choose a meal rich in protein and complex carbohydrates.

Refrain from consuming
alcohol or drugs

Do not consume alcohol or drugs at least 24 hours before your appointment. Alcohol and some medications can thin your blood, leading to excessive bleeding during the tattooing process (if you are taking any blood-thinning medication, please inform your tattoo artist).
This can interfere with the artist's work and prolong the healing process. Instead, opt for a clear mind and a healthy body to achieve the best results.

Dress in comfortable clothing

Choose clothing that allows your tattoo artist easy access to the area being tattooed. If you're getting a tattoo on your arm, wear a sleeveless or loose-sleeved shirt. For a leg tattoo, shorts or loose pants are ideal. Comfort is very important since some sessions can last several hours, and you'll want to avoid unnecessary discomfort from restrictive clothing.
If you need to be partially undressed for the tattoo, don't worry. Our studio will provide the necessary privacy by creating a private space with separators.

Skin care

Please avoid applying lotion, oil, or other skincare products to the area to be tattooed on the day of your appointment. Clean and dry skin is best for the tattoo process because it ensures the stencil adheres properly and allows the ink to penetrate the skin evenly.
Avoiding any creams also prevents them from interacting with the ink, leading to better healing results.

Refrain from sun exposure

Skin that is sunburned or tanned can lead to complications during the tattoo process. Damaged and sensitive, sunburned skin can increase pain and make healing more challenging. To protect your skin if you need to be outside before your appointment, use sunscreen and wear clothing that covers the area.
