About the artist
DIM is a Visual designer and tattooist based in New York. Dropped out of Tsinghua University while studying sculpting, and majored in Visual communication design at Seoul National University. His main interest lies in expressing and experimenting with the various layers of identity, formed through his long years of living abroad, using diverse media. He performed an internship in Naver design team in 2020, Participated in exhibits and workshops, including Milan Design Week - SalonSatellite 2018, The 3rd Media User Experience and International Forum, Design Walk 2018 in Beijing, The 6th International Media Design.
In October 2015, he began tattooing as a self-taught artist. He was invited as a guest artist to tattoo studios in 13 cities across 7 countries (New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, London, Berlin, Singapore, Taichung, and Rome) and conducted an international tour. In 2019, he founded a one-person publishing company, 긴준형, and co-authored and published Tattoo Note with Dr. Cho in the same year.
